Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi honours 2nd batch of "Diploma on Air" graduates

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council and the Sharjah Media Corporation, SMC, honoured the graduates of the second batch of "Diploma on Air," which was launched on Sharjah Radio (94.4 FM) under the theme "Diploma of the New Directors" to provide certificates to listeners.

The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the SMC and was attended by Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director-General of the Sharjah Media Corporation, and Hassan Al-Belghouni, founder and presenter of the diploma programme, as well as a number of officials and employees of the Corporation. The 31 graduates finished six training courses, over 18 workshops.

"We, at the Sharjah Media Corporation, are delighted to be partners with the UAE’s academic and educational institutions in graduating qualified cadres to join the labour market, and to transform their efforts into effective and fruitful achievements to be added to Sharjah’s renaissance march," Al Qasimi said.

He added that since its very inception, SMC has been working in line with the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to go beyond its role in the media and contribute to the growth of individuals in the UAE society.

"Because the promotion of society is one of the SMC’s top priorities, the "Diploma on Air" came to embody our vision, and qualitative experience to add to what has been achieved at the media level," he added.
