Special Envoy of the Quartet Committee on the Middle East Tony Blair on Sunday left Cairo after a one-day visit to Egypt.
During the visit, Blair met with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab to discuss the latest developments in the region.
He was also received by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri and tackled the latest developments of the Palestinian cause, namely situation at al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as well as the economic and humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
