Isa Abdullah Masoud Al Kalbani, UAE Ambassador to Mauritania, met here on Sunday with Secretary General of the Group of Five for the Sahel (G5 Sahel) Mohammed Ould Mohammed Al Zenaki.

The meeting discussed UAE's relations with the Sahel countries and ways to enhance them.

Following its establishment in 2014, the UAE contributed 30-million Euro to the G5 Sahel Joint Force, to tackle the threat of terrorism, extremism and organized crime in the Sahel region. It also funded the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Military College in Nouakchott.
