UAE President issues decrees to ratify bilateral agreements

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a range of federal decrees to ratify bilateral agreements between the UAE and several friendly countries.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa also issued a number of federal decrees to appoint, transfer and promote several Emirati diplomats. The Official Gazette published these decrees in its latest issue.

The agreements that were ratified include an agreement between the UAE and Slovakia to encourage the mutual protection of investments, as well as two cooperation agreements with Oman on civil defence and the international land transportation of passengers and goods, an agreement with Belarus on the mutual protection of classified information, an agreement with Tanzania to establish airline services between their territories, and an aerial transportation agreement with Sweden.

The decrees also include the ratification of a protocol to amend the mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic passports between the UAE and Kazakhstan, and the statute of the Islamic Organisation for Food Security.
