U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Refugees, Population and Migration Anne Richard, arrived here today on an official visit to Jordan to be briefed on the situation of Syrian refugees and the impact of the Syrian crisis on the Jordanian arena. She said in a statement upon arrival that more than 2.3 million Syrians have become refugees abroad, and the number of displaced people inside Syria has reached more than 6 million, calling on her country's government and the international community to assist neighboring countries providing shelter for the Syrians and helping in the delivery of humanitarian aid inside Syria.
