President Barack Obama will visit Malaysia in April, as a part of an Asian tour, and hold talks with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. Malaysian News Agency (Bernama), quoted US Ambassador to Malaysia Joseph Y. Yun saying that the two sides would discuss trade, investment and development of environment-friendly economy, in addition to bilateral relations.
President Obama put off his visit to Malaysia last October due to the US budget deadlock. President Obama is expected to visit Japan, South Korea and the Philippines as part the Asian tour.
