US Vice President Mike Pence arrived in Tokyo

US Vice President Mike Pence arrived in Tokyo from South Korea on his first visit to Japan since taking office.Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will hold a meeting with the US Vice President ahead of the first session of a US-Japan economic dialogue in the presence of Japanese Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Taro Aso. 
Pence will also inspect US aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan at the Japanese port of Yokosuka. Pence and Japanese leaders are expected to stress the importance of the Japan-US alliance amid continuing provocations by North Korea, Japan's Radio reported. 
On Monday, Pence traveled to Panmunjom, the tense zone dividing North and South Korea, and met later with Acting South Korean President Hwang Hwang Kyo-ahn. The US Vice President said "all options are on the table" for dealing with North Korea. 
He described the US alliance with South Korea as the cornerstone of peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and in the Asia-Pacific region in general.
