Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Abdel Aati left here on Saturday heading for Tanzania on a several days' visit.
During his stay, Abdel Aati is due to inaugurate Monday the second phase of a project to dig water wells, in the presence of his Tanzanian counterpart as well as the Egyptian ambassador.
Thirty wells will be dug in the second phase which is totally funded by Cairo.
The project is supervised by Egyptian experts.
Forty other wells will be dug in the third phase in sites to be set later by the Tanzanian side.
Tanzanian officials have praised Egypt's contributions in this field amid water shortage in northern the country.
