Works Minister

Information Technology Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Hisham Sater revealed that the number of users accessing the Ministry’s 12 electronic services during the third quarter of 2016 amounted to 3855 users. The services can be accessed through both the Ministry’s portal www.works.gov.bh, and the eGovernment portal www.bahrain.bh.


According to Sater, August attracted the highest number of users, with 1573 users, after which came September with 1203 users, and then July with 1079 users. 

Sater explained that the 10 previous services are sanitary maintenance request, sanitary connection request, traffic signals request, report road fault, abnormal load permission, contractor pre-qualification, materials testing results, traffic diversion request, the material/product assessment and building maintenance request, while the latest 2 services are the Road Level Request and the Internal Tenders eService. 

The materials testing results service targeted the highest number of users with 2209 users, and then came the traffic diversion service with 733 requests and the Internal Tenders Service with 246 users. 

According to Sater, the latest two services have also attracted a very positive response from users, with 220 users.
