US Department of State confirmed the arrival to the Capital Washington by Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh who intends to receive medical treatment in the United States of America.
The US Department of State's spokesman, Noel Clay, said that the Yemeni President had arrived in the United States of America last evening for a brief sojourn during which he intends to receive medical treatment.

The Yemeni Embassy here said that the 69-year-old Saleh arrived in the United States of America on a special visit for medical reasons and shall return to Yemen in February 2012. (IY)
