Ebola in Sierra Leone

Another victim, a woman admitted at the Isolation Center in the Government Hospital in Kenema died on Tuesday, Chief Medical Officer of Sierra Leone Dr. Brima Kargbo said.
"The others are still undergoing treatment," he was updating the media Wednesday morning.
The latest death brings to two the number of casualties from the ebola virus, as reported by the Ministry of Health.
Reports from Kailahun say that health officials and police are monitoring the movement of people entering and leaving Koindu in the Kailahun district, the epicenter of the virus to reduce the risk of the virus spreading.
The Ministry of Health on Monday declared both the Kailahun and Kenema Districts, east of Sierra Leone, as "high risk areas" and has appealed to the public to restrict their travelling.
The Eastern Region parliamentary caucus as well as cabinet ministers from eastern Sierra Leone arrived in both districts Tuesday "to sensitize residents on the need to give maximum cooperation to health workers to undertake their work," said a member of the team.
