The Saudi Health Ministry said that one person has died of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-Cov), known as coronavirus.

Two new cases of the virus were identified, said the ministry in a statement.

According to the ministry, the number of infections settled at 1,016 people, while the death toll hit 447.

The ministry said that 562 cases were discharged from hospitals, while seven others were still receiving treatment.
