Representatives of 11 countries took part Wednesday in "Health from theory to practice" conference that is organized by the High Institute of Public Health at the University of Alexandria.
The medical conference is held under the sponsorship of ministers of higher education, scientific research, health and environment as well as a number of Alexandria University's top officials and professors.
The two-day conference, which is being held in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, tackles 91 new research on the science of public health and the prevention of non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes, obesity, and diseases of the chest caused by pollution and smoking.
