The Saudi Health Ministry said two new cases were recorded of the corona virus, known as the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).

In a statement Saturday, the ministry said the two cases upped the number of Corona cases detected to 1,257.

The death toll since the outbreak of the disease in the kingdom in 2012 has reached 539, the statement said.

About 704 cases recovered and 14 cases are still under treatment, the statement said.
