Eight truckloads of medicine arrived in the Gaza Strip on Monday from the West Bank, a crossings official said. Amidst Israeli airstrikes that have killed 23 Palestinians and wounded more than 80 in four days, Gaza medical spokesman Adham Abu Salmiya had appealed for medical supplies to the blockaded coastal enclave. Crossings liaison official Raed Fattouh said President Mahmoud Abbas ordered the medicine to be sent to Gaza from the Ramallah ministry of health.
