Health Minister Sadoq bin Abdelkarim al-Shehabi

Health Minister Sadoq bin Abdelkarim Al-Shehabi has today received the Canadian Accreditation Team which assessed the standard of healthcare services in Bahrain. The panel outlined the results of the field assessment study, commending the standard of services at Bahrain's largest hospital, Salmaniya Medication Complex.
The minister stressed the importance of the Canadian Accreditation Agreement which aims at enhancing healthcare and therapeutic services. He underscored the importance of the agreement, saying that it would have a positive impact on primary and secondary healthcare.
Based on results on the assessment survey, the ministry will obtain the accreditation which take into account the quality of service and safe health procedures. The Canadian panel commended the ministry for its strenuous efforts to upgrade healthcare services and meeting the patients' care and therapeutic needs.
The meeting was attended Assistant Undersecretary for Hospital Affairs Dr. Waleed Al-Manea, Assistant Undersecretary for Training and Planning Dr. Mohammed Amine Al-Awadhi, Public and International Relations director Anissa Al-Huwaihi and the Canadian team members.
