Halat Bu Maher health centre

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the goal of the government is to provide high-quality services and ensure that the citizens enjoy them easily.
He pointed out that more development projects will be implemented across the kingdom's villages and cities, especially Muharraq where services and public facilities, including the health and medical ones, will be expanded.
He underscored the government's constant desire to improve the quality of health services, being at the top of its priorities, noting that all necessary resources and potentials have been allocated for the aim of ensuring that the best health care and treatment are provided for the citizens and residents. He stressed that the health sector spurs growth and prosperity, and reflects the extent of societies' progress and civilisation in terms of human development.
"Bahraini citizens deserve modern and advanced health services, and we will spare no effort to meet their aspirations, and provide them with the requirements of decent life in order to motivate them to work harder and attain more achievements to the homeland," he said.
HRH Premier made the statements as he patronised the opening of the Halat Bu Maher heath centre in Muharraq.
HRH the Prime Minister expressed pride in the Bahraini personnel's management of health facilities in the kingdom, which, he said, proves the success of the government's sound policies in the field of human development.
HRH Premier toured the Halat Bu Maher heath centre, and was informed closely about its facilities, advanced equipment and comprehensive health services it provides.
He commended the efforts exerted in constructing the health centre and providing it with cutting-edge medical equipment, as well as the its highly professional medical staff, which, he asserted, entitles it to provide high-quality and efficient services.
HRH Premier said that the government's strategy focuses on meeting the needs of all regions in the kingdom regarding development and service projects.
"The citizens of Muharraq deserve a lot from us, just like all other citizens of Bahrain," he said, pointing out that Muharraq represents the civilisational front of the Kingdom as a whole, and therefore, more development and modernisation projects will be implemented in it in order to maintain its historical status.
HRH Premier stressed the need to safeguard the hard-won national achievements in all fields, and focus on building the nation and enhancing its development, without paying any attention to attempts of destruction and vandalism.
He called for "constructive participation" in efforts to achieve more landmark achievements and gains that enhance the kingdom's progress and prosperity, in line with the will and aspirations of the Bahraini people.
HRH Premier urged speed and accuracy in implementing service and development projects in the coming period.
"We still have a lot to do in order to complete the pillars of comprehensive development and meet the needs of the citizens across the kingdom, so there is no room for delay or slowing down," he added.
HRH Premier expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the affiliates of the Health and Works ministries for their efforts in building the landmark health centre.
He said he is looking forward for more development and modernisation projects in order to promote the kingdom's status as an outstanding centre for health services.
Health Minister Sadiq bin Abdulkareem Al-Shehabi expressed utmost thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for patronising the opening of the Halat Bu Maher heath centre.
He said that the new state-of-the-art health centre reflected HRH Premier's constant support to the health sector, and keenness to upgrade the quality of the health services provided for the citizens and residents.
"Such a monument will meet the needs of the Halat Bu Maher citizens in terms of health care and services," he said, highlighting the support of the government, and the personal follow-up of HRH Premier on the project.
The main building of the BD 6.8 million milestone health centre covers 13,674 square metres.
The three-storey building covers a total area of 7072 m2, and contains parking lots for staff, patients and visitors.
The ground floor includes rooms for regular check-up and others for quick check-up. It also contains treatment and day-case services, in addition to a pharmacy, X-Ray, Diabetes Clinic and medical records.
The first floor consists of dental clinics and gynecologist clinics, while the second floor includes childcare clinic, physical rehabilitation services like physiotherapy and water therapy.
The centre also includes conference rooms, medical education rooms, administrative offices, stores, sample collection room and medical lab.
The centre's design provides easy access to all facilities and ensures a speedy evacuation in emergencies, in addition to slopes on all entrances and exits to assist people with special needs.
The building's design has also fulfilled green buildings' requirements and specifications by providing thermal insulation on all walls, ceilings and windows, in addition to LED lighting systems to save energy.
