China\'s Ministry of Agriculture has announced the detection of an outbreak of the highly epidemic H5N1 bird flu virus in poultry at Gansu province ,Northwestern China. More than 6,200 chickens showed symptoms of suspected H5N1 bird flu Friday whereas 260 of them have died, Chinese news agency (XINHUA) reported according to the ministry of agriculture. The ministry said that the local authorities have sealed off and sterilized the infected area, where a total of 18,460 chickens have been safely disposed to prevent the spread of the disease.
