Deputy Undersecretary Ken Hyatt

A delegation of six US healthcare companies on Monday concluded a three-day visit to Egypt.

The delegation met with dozens of Egyptians potential partners to bring the latest American Medical technologies to Egypt.

The delegation also met with Industry and Trade Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour and senior official of Egypt's Health Ministry.

"We have had many very positive conversations on this visit," said Ken Hyatt, Deputy Undersecretary in the US Department of Commerce.

"The US companies understand the potential of the Egyptian market, and I expect that our visit will lead to new business and investment opportunities between the US and Egypt," he added.

Last year, trade between Egypt and the US totaled nearly $8 billion.
