Egypt's Minister of Health Adel Adawi

Egypt's Minister of Health Adel Adawi received Friday in his office his South Sudanese counterpart Riek Gai Kok to discuss bilateral cooperation.
During the get-together, Adawi offered providing South Sudan with logistics and technical support in the medical services sector.
The Egyptian minister pointed out that there are already Egyptian medics working at the educational hospital in Juba, adding that his country intends to dispatch medical convoys to South Sudan.
Adawi said Egypt is willing to help solve the problem of drug shortage in South Sudan.
He also stressed that South Sudanese doctors can obtain fellowships from Egypt, adding that all the country's hospitals are ready to receive patients from South Sudan.
Adawi hailed as historical, geographic, and demographic ties with Nile countries.
For his part, Kok appreciated the Egyptian support for his country, noting that he is proud of being a graduate of Alexandria University.
