At least 77 people were poisoned after eating spoiled food in the central Mexican state Aguascalientes, Sanitary Regulation and Control Vice Director Juan Antonio Muro said Tuesday. The first case of food poisoning was detected Saturday in Tepezala municipality, Muro said in a statement. The food poisoning was due to the spread of a bacteria caused by poor management and preservation of cooked food, the epidemiologist from the state health ministry said. People ate the rotten food during a party in El Porvenir town, in Tepezala municipality. Muro said no company was responsible for the poisoning because the food was prepared by the hosts of the party.The affected people are being treated in local hospitals. The last medical report said they are out of danger.
