Professional Nursing in Oman

The Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf, GCC-Stat, has organised a blood donation drive in collaboration with the General Directorate of Health Affairs at the Ministry of Health in the Sultanate of Oman.
The initiative comes as part of GCC-Stat’s strive to implement and participate in various activities and events that contribute to the development and wellbeing of the society.
GCC-Stat members of staff enthusiastically supported the cause which comes within the Ministry of Health’s continuous efforts to assemble blood units from donors, and to provide these units to healthcare institutions.
Commenting on the initiative, Mohammed bin Saif Al Azizi, Director of Human Resource Department at GCC-Stat, said, "Blood donation helps healthcare institutions provide safe blood units for inpatients and those in need of urgent blood transformation. We at GCC-Stat save no efforts to support healthcare providers across the GCC region and to contribute to their work that aims to provide high quality health services to meet the needs and requirements of the society. We wish this event will be a motive for more initiatives in the future that adds to the development and the wellbeing of the GCC society."
