Hamdan Medical Award organises

Organised and supported by the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, four Emirati doctors have recently returned back to the U.A.E after participating in the activities of the observership training programme at the Cleveland Clinic, USA.
The delegation included Dr. Haitham Ali Reda, Consultant Cardiologist, Rashid Hospital, Dr. Samir Abdel-Hamid Al-Awadhi, Consultant Gastroenterologist, Rashid Hospital, Dr. Moza Majed Al Falasi, Specialist Internist, Rashid Hospital and Dr. Hussein Taleb Shabaan, Consultant, Ear, Nose and Throat, Dubai Hospital.
Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the Hamdan Medical Award said that organising the programme comes within the framework of the directives of the patron of the Award, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and U.A.E. Minister of Finance, regarding the importance of strengthening experiences exchange with the major global medical institutions.
"This 10-days programme is one of the educational medical programmes accredited from the Cleveland Clinic, USA, in which 600 specialists from more than 65 countries all over the world are attended annually", Al Khaja said.
"In collaboration with the Centre for Medical Education, Cleveland Clinic U.S.A., and its Middle East regional office, the Hamdan Medical Award has begun preparing for the programme since late 2013," he added.
The observership programme for Emirati physicians has supported their knowledge about many aspects of the medical and administrative procedures in the Cleveland Clinic, which is one of the largest international medical institutions all over the world.
Absolutely, it will be reflected on developing new insights and important ideas to improve U.A.E. health institutions in the pursuit of medical excellence and enhancing the main elements of the medical tourism at the state level.
