Former South African President Nelson Mandela, 94, has been admitted to the hospital anew due to complications from a lung infection.
In a statement issued today, President Jacob Zuma's office described Mandela's condition as "serious but stable".
"This morning at about 1:30 a.m, his condition deteriorated and he was transferred to a Pretoria hospital. He remains in a serious but stable condition," the statement said.
