The Saudi Health Ministry said one new case was reported of the corona virus, known as the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).

In a statement Thursday, the ministry said the case upped the number of Corona cases detected to 1,280.

The death toll since the outbreak of the disease in the kingdom in 2012 has reached 550, the statement said.

About 728 cases recovered and three cases are still under treatment, the statement said.
