The National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR)'s president Maria Khoury has received the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)'s representative to the Kingdom of Bahrain, James Liner.
Khoury praised the ICRC's role of consolidating and spreading the culture of human rights, developing the skills and capacities of workers in this field. She affirmed the National Institution's keenness on bolstering the bilateral cooperation especially in the field of exchange of expertise and training for further boosting the protection of human rights.
Liner commended the National Institution's efforts in spreading and boosting the culture of human rights in the Kingdom, affirming his readiness for cooperation and provision of all means capable of boosting the achievement of the shared goals.
The NIHR's vice president Abdullah Al Durazi; and the head of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Committee, Dr. Ayesha Mubarak, were also present during the meeting.
