Counselor Ali Rizq, the head of the administrative prosecution authority, addressed prime Minister Sherif Ismail to take measures to market drug Clatazev which is used in treating hepatitis C virus (HCV).
Rizq's call came after an investigation mounted by the prosecution authority revealed that the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Trading Company was reluctant in distributing more than 52,000 packages of the drug although it will expire early next year.
Investigators called for taking measures necessary for distributing the drug before its expiry in line with the country's laws.
