Senegal has reopened air and sea borders with Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone where Ebola has killed more than 5,000 people since earlier this year.
But land borders with the three worst Ebola-hit countries will remain closed, Senegalese interior authorities said Friday.
Senegal shut down its frontiers with the three countries in August due to the outbreak of Ebola, banning the entry of ships and planes from the three countries.
Senegal reported its first Ebola case on Aug. 29, however, the patient was cured after undergoing a 12-day quarantine period.
Senegal was declared Ebola-free on Oct. 17 by the World Health Organization.
