South Korea has decided to dispatch a disaster relief team of volunteer medical workers to West Africa as part of international efforts to contain the spread of deadly Ebola virus there.
This is the first time ever South Korea decides to sent a relief team of medical workers to deadly epidemic-hit countries abroad since its inception.
South Korean News Agency (YONHAP) said that Seoul Government plans to send a team made up of ten doctors, nurses and experts specialized in medical tests to Ebola-hit countries in West Africa.
"Relevant ministries are likely to finalize the composition of the team of medical workers", an official source said, stressing his country’s keenness on the safety of the medical personnel.
