Ambassador Abdullah Ibrahim Al-Suwaidi

Abdullah Ibrahim Al Suwaidi, the UAE ambassador to Tanzania, has visited Muhimbili National Hospital in Dar es Salaam, where he met the UAE medical team, which is visiting the country to conduct 30 open heart surgeries free of charge.

The move is part of the small heart campaign sponsored by the Sharjah Charity International, supervised over by the UAE embassy and implemented by the Jakaya Kikwete Foundation and the Islamic Foundation in Tanzania.

The UAE envoy also met Dr. Ahmed Al Kamali, head of the heart section, Dubai Hospital, who briefed him on the details of the campaign, which will continue for four days to conduct 30 cardiac catheterisation and open heart surgeries.

Ambassador Al Suwaidi thanked the UAE charity bodies for painting the smile on faces of poor African children, pledging that the embassy would do what it takes to help the medical team perform its humanitarian duty.
