Ebola worker

Vietnam's Ministry of Health (MoH) and the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases held a rehearsal on reception, isolation, and treatment for suspected Ebola patients in capital Hanoi on Friday.
According to the rehearsal scenario, a suspected Ebola patient detected in northern Noi Bai international airport was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
On learning the information, isolation area was set up while all staff and other patients are requested to be out of the isolation area, reported Vietnam's state-run radio VOV on Friday.
So far, Vietnam has reported no Ebola case.
In a related move, on Nov. 2, a patient with fever immigrating into Vietnam from Ebola-hit Guinea had been tested negative with the deadly virus.
Although test results showed that the patient was positive with malaria and free from Ebola virus, the case raised concern among local people.
In order to address the issue, on Thursday, Pham Thu Hang, vice spokesperson of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said at a press briefing in Hanoi that the foreign ministry will work closely with the MoH in providing specific guidance and instructions to Vietnamese communities overseas, especially those in Ebola-hit countries, so that they can make timely measures to prevent Ebola infection.
