Ebola outbreak

The Ebola death toll is likely over 5,000 out of 13,703 cases worldwide, the World Health Organization (WHO) said Wednesday.
WHO assistant director-general Bruce Aylward told a news conference he is confident of a slowing rate in new cases, but warned the danger remains.
The number of cases in the worst-affected countries of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone is 13,676. In contrast, the seven-day rolling average has been steady at around 9,000 or 10,000 in recent weeks, Aylward said.
