Egyptian actress Shery Adel expressed her pleasure for the qualification of Egyptian national team for the World Cup scheduled to be held in Russia during the coming year, saying that that the current generation of players managed to achieve great fulfillment.
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that she is extremely happy for participating in Alexandrian Film Festival, saying that this experience will extremely enrich her career as an actress. She stressed that the festivals are considered one of the major parts of the Egyptian culture.
She stressed her keenness to follow the festivals organized in Egypt during the latest period, saying that such festivals are extremely important to promote Egypt’s culture and tourist sites in the country. She added that the Egyptian officials should exert their efforts to use these events to restore tourist rates as soon as possible in the framework of the current efforts aiming to improve economic situation.
She added that she has not received any invitation to participate in any refereeing committees during the latest Alexandrian Film Festival, praising her experience in this regard during her participation in the same festival last year. She stressed that her experience last year performed a major role to enrich her experience as an actress.
She praised the role she performs in the TV drama show “Black Horse” scheduled to be presented during the coming Ramadan, saying that she performs a role of a famous actress who loves Fares performed by actor Ahmed Al Sakka. She added that the drama show discusses a large number of social issues.
She denied, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, any similarity between her personality and the character which she performs during the series. She added that the role is difficult and different, as she performs the role of actress which is her serious profession.
She underlined that a number of Arab superstars participate in the series, including Shery Adel, Ahmed Al Sakka, Mohamed Adel and Mohamed Farrag. The series has been written by Mohammed Suleiman Abdul Malik and directed by Ahmed Khaled Mousa.
She expressed her readiness to present fawazeer programs if she found the suitable idea. She said that only ideas control her choices. She added, in a statement to "Arabs Today", that it was supposed to present fawazeer during the recent years, while the project has been suspended for production reasons.
She added that she always seeks to diversify the roles she presents, stressing her keenness not to repeat the roles that she previously presented during her career. She praised her recent film "Where is My Heart" in which she participated with Egyptian singer Mustafa Qamar, saying she presented a different role in this movie.
Regarding her dream husband, the Egyptian actress said that the husband of any actress should realize the value of arts to be able to respect her work and her conditions in the framework of the increasing responsibilities she bears to meet the expectations of her fans.
She revealed that her best actresses are Soad Hosni, and Faten Hamama, saying that she extremely loves Youssra and Najla Fathy. She stressed that she aspires to achieve great history like those great actors who enriched Egypt’s drama and cinema with their great works since the beginning of their career.
