The Algerian film \" C’est dans la boite\" (it’s in the box) by Djamel Béloucif, screened in \"Maghreb\" cinema theater as part of the films competition at the 7th Arab Film Festival of Oran (FOFA), represents a new experience of Arab cinema. He adopts a different technique based on the image, more than the text, by addressing a series of topics, in a form similar to the documentary, according to many Arab filmmakers who spoke about it during the debate that followed the screening of the Algerian film. This work is described by some as a \"narration film\", which allows the viewer to think and discuss various issues. The screenplay written by the film’s director deals with the situation of a videographer who landed in an area in France where he discovered every day, through his camera, a different life to that was his own. Produced, in 2013, the film features coexistence, solidarity, dreams of youth and concerns of Algerians born and grown abroad. The critics discussed during the debate focused on the choice of director to compete in the category of feature films, while the film is closer to the documentary, as well as the use of the French language and improper subtitle. In his answers, Djamel Beloucif said that the choice of this new film genre aims at question the imagination. “I propose to the spectator a film based on expressive image, not on classical scenarios,\" he added.
