The stars of Vacation got together for the premiere of the film's reboot on Monday at the Regency Village Theatre in the Westwood section of Los Angeles.

The 2015 film is a sequel to the 1983 National Lampoon's Vacation, and was directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. It will be released in theaters Wednesday.

Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo will reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold as they follow their son Rusty -- played by Ed Helms -- and his wife and two children in yet another cross-country voyage to the best theme park in America, Walley World. As in the first film, things don't quite go as planned.

Chase, who played Clark Griswold, was at the premiere of the film along with the infamous green Truckster wagon that transported the family tin the first film. He showed up with a sling and family in tow while the stars of the new film, who include Chris Hemsworth and Christina Applegate, took selfies and enjoyed food and carnival games in a mock-up Walley World outside the theater.

The new film is rated "R" partly because of the language. Applegate, who plays Rusty's wife, says she likes the raunchier tone.
