Damascus – Nour Khawam
Syrian military aircraft bombed, on Tuesday, several areas in Jobar neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of the capital Damascus, bringing the total airstrikes on the city to at least 20 airstrikes.
Meanwhile, Jobar witnesses sever clashes between the government forces back by affiliated fighters and Islamic factions.
The clashes still continue between government forces and the Islamic State (ISIS) elements in the oil fields surroundings in the eastern countryside of Homs, amid intense shelling by government forces on the locations held by the extreme group with more casualties on both sides.
It is noteworthy that the wide military operation by the regime forces was led by the Brigadier Suhail Hassan, who has a previous experience in the same area back in 2016 that ended by the regime forces’ control of the Power Plant in the mid of February 2016, where the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them have launched their military operation in the 17th of January 2017, and were able today -which is after a weak of their attack- to control 17 village and town, and reach to about 8 km away of the southwestern area of al-Bab city, the regime forces are now on the contact line with “Euphrates Shield” which are west of al-Bab city, these clashes for the 8th day between the regime forces and the militiamen loyal to them against the “Islamic State” organization; which are accompanied by intense artillery and air shelling, and exchange of targeting between both parties, have killed tens of members of both parties in addition to injuring tens of others.
