36 killed, 16 wounded in armed attack in Egypt’s Minya

Gunmen open fired on a bus carrying at least 40 Christians on their way to St. Samuel Monastery for a religious trip in Al Edwa town in Minya desert, south of Egypt. The gunmen attacked the bus in Abu Tartour Plateau, and initial data indicates 24 deaths.
 
Source in Ambulance Authority in Minya Governorate declared that, 24 bodies were transferred to different hospitals including, El Adwa, Minya, and Maghagha, and 16 wounded are currently being transfer from the site of the armed attack.

Local sources said that, ambulances from Beni Suef and Minya governorates are sent to the attack location to transfer the victims and the wounded, while director of Minya security, Faisal Dwedar said the bus accident happened on the north desert road between Beni Suef and Minya and the security forces are combing the area.
