At least four people were killed and 12 others injured Tuesday after a third car bomb rocked Baghdad, a security source said.

The bomb-laden car went off near shops in new Baghdad district.

Security forces rushed to the scene of the incident and cordoned off the area.

Earlier, two car bombs exploded in Baghdad, targeting a joint police and army checkpoint and a populated area, leaving five killed and 14 injured.
