Jordan's assistant Attorney General, Rami Salah decided, today, that former Deputy Mayor of Amman, Amer Al-Bashir, be held in custody for 14 days pending investigation. Bashir faces thee charges, including the abuse power, in violation of article 75 of the Penal Code. The Attorney General has refused to release Al-Bashir on bail. It’s worth mentioning that the initial judge had decided to release Amman Mayor Omar Al-Maani on bail, two days ago, but the Attorney General appealed that decision on sunday
