A car blast Wednesday morning killed and injured at least 14 people in central Karkuk, northern Iraq. According to Iraqi police, the bomb exploded near Kirkuk hotel at the center of the city. Eleven people have been injured including the head of Kirkuk Criminal Court Judge Aziz Ibrahim and his guards in addition to two civilians near the police directorate. In a different incident, security sources have announced that three assailants had attacked dawn Wednesday a house located in Al-Saydiya southwest Baghdad killing its owner. The attack sparked confrontations between the gunmen and security forces who cordoned the area after one has been killed and the two others detained.
