Beirut - Georges Chahine
Violent clashes continue in some areas of Homs’ countryside and its neighbouring Kaysar City, Lebanese security reports from Baalbek told Arabstoday. The violence hit peak at around 10am this morning in the areas of Al-Kaa, in the Northern of Beqaa valley. Militant groups related to the revolution and Free Syrian army entered Lebanese territories. This led to the intervention of the Lebanese army in the region to prevent the entry of militants retreating into Syrian territory. Firing also persisted by the Lebanese on the Syrian-Lebanese coastal borders, where gun bursts and rocket shells spread in the area of Aboudeya. Some residents returned back to their homes this morning, following last night’s clashes.
