'Gaza conditions 'unlivable' 10 years into siege: UN' quoted from various media sources. Largely unreported by the media, Gaza has been facing one the most dire situations due to the Israeli blockade (The blockade on Gaza entered its 11th year in June 2017) – electricity is only available for 4 hours a day, hospitals have shut down or are over capacity, medical supplies are at a chronic low at less than 40% of supplies available. Not to forget 60% of the youth are unemployed. As Robert Piper, the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Aid and Development Activities, mentioned in an interview "I see this extraordinarily inhuman and unjust process of strangling gradually two million civilians in Gaza that really pose a threat to nobody,". As such it is imperative we continue to work together to help alleviate some suffering.

To date, our team has raised $110,000 for this year’s Mental Healthcare Project, which we previously launched with the PCRF in 2015. The project aims at providing children in Gaza with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with the mental healthcare and support they need, through counselling, summer camps, or access to psychiatrists & medication – all very rarely available to the average child suffering with any mental issues in Gaza.
