Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Hong Liang (front R) donates relief supplies

China provided on Wednesday over 33,000 U.S. dollars' (about 40 million kyats) humanitarian assistance to Myanmar's flood victims.

The aid was sent through the Myanmar ministry of social welfare, relief and resettlement.

Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye expressed thanks for the aid provided by the Chinese Embassy, State Power Investment Corporation and Huawei Myanmar.

Chinese Ambassador Hong Liang said that not only China but also Myanmar have been hit by flood in most areas of their respective countries. China and Myanmar, having fraternal friendship, have the culture of helping each other in face of hardship and struggle.

The ambassador added that the Chinese people will stand shoulder to shoulder with Myanmar people and China will continue to provide aids for rescue and rehabilitation work in flood-affected areas and other required sectors of Myanmar.
