Chinese authorities on Friday decided to shut down the country's embassy in Libya amid the worsening security situation in the country.
According to China.org.cn, the announcement, made via the foreign ministry's official Weibo account, is also warning Chinese nationals of visiting Libya.
In announcing the temporary closure of the Chinese embassy, the Foreign Ministry says it will still keep some officials in the North African country in case of emergency.
The Chinese embassy in Libya will be shut down until at least November.
