Egypt sends medical and food aids to Somalia

The military spokesman for the Egyptian army, Tamer Al Rifai announced that, working under the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi presidency and based on orders issued by General of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, Sidqi Sobhy, the Supply Authority of the Armed Forces prepared amounts of foods, medications, and medical equipment donated from the Egyptian people to be sent to Somalia to help its people with their humanitarian crisis.

Colonel Tamer Al Rifai said in a statement that, a C130 military plane took off with these aids in coordination with Ministry of Health, Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, and Egyptian Red Crescent Society. This initiative came within the framework of the Egyptian role in helping neighboring African countries and supporting them during crisis.
