Cairo – Akram Ali
Thousands of demonstrators celebrated the ending of protests in Cairo demanding social justice and a new constitution to represent all Egyptians with fireworks and songs on Friday. Protestors called for the Constituent Assembly to be dissolved and rejected the first draft of the constitution. They are pushing for a new consensual constitution, which represents all Egyptians, provides maximum and minimum salaries, fights increasing prices and takes revenge for the revolution martyrs through retrials, returning stolen money abroad and removing corrupted state institutions. Calling for an end to violence, the Egyptians sang revolutionary songs with singer Ramy Essam, over a display of fireworks in Tahrir Square.
