President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

Egyptian experts and politicians considered President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi visit to Kuwait on Tuesday, a continuation to his consultations on the sidelines of the Arab summit in Jordan and his last visit to Saudi Arabia to agree on a mechanism that will help dealing with crisis. They anticipated that fighting terrorism file and Kuwait’s help to stop terrorism supplies will be on the top of this visit agenda. During the visit, there will be a discussion to stop funds coming from Kuwaiti charities with Salafist tendencies, along with another economic discussion to increase Kuwaiti investments in Egypt.

Deputy of the National Defense and Security Committee in the Egyptian Parliament, Yahya Al – Kadwani said that, this visit comes within the framework of continued discussions between Kuwait and Egypt to stop terrorism in the Arab world, especially with the Kuwaiti influence on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He added during a conversation with “Erm News” that, this visit will also discuss the Gulf security and how to prevent any Iranian intervention.

Former Assistant Secretary of State, Ambassador Rakha Ahmed Hassan said in a press statement that, the visit will help deciding how to support Palestine and the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas during his visit to the United States to meet President Donald Trump. He added that, it is expected to support the increase of the Kuwaiti investments in Egypt within the frame of mutual benefits, along with opening new fields for Egyptian worker in Kuwait.

Professor of Political Science at the American University in Cairo, Noha Bakr said in a statement that, this visit will discuss three topics, current crisis in the region and finding solutions, fighting terrorism especially Daesh and exchanging information and opinions about this topic and how to increase Gulf investments in Egypt.
