Senior Fatah official Azzam Al Ahmad

Senior Fatah official Azzam Al Ahmad on Sunday expressed hope that the Palestinian reconciliation would push the peace process between the Palestinians and Israel. 

During his participation in the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in St. Petersburg in Russia at the head of the Palestinian delegation, Al Ahmad said the division paper was used by Israel, the United States and other actors to evade the peace process. 

He stated that the changeable regional and international conditions helped the success the Egyptian efforts to end the division. 

Al Ahmad pointed out that the popular reception in Gaza the Palestinian government received indicated that the Palestinian people in Gaza got fed up with the conflicts among the Palestinian factions. 

He called on all the regional and international actors to move immediately towards the Palestinian-Israeli peace process to save the two-state solution and establish the Palestinian state and its capital, Al Quds. 

More than 800 parliamentarians, including 90 parliament speakers, participate in the meetings of the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Russia, which started from October 14 to 18.

Al Ahmad pointed out that the popular reception in Gaza the Palestinian government received indicated that the Palestinian people in Gaza got fed up with the conflicts among the Palestinian factions.
