The gazette published on Thursday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's decree approving the maritime border demarcation deal with Saudi Arabia.

The Egyptian and Saudi governments signed the deal in Cairo on April 8, 2016.

The decree was issued after reviewing Article 151 of the constitution and the cabinet's approval.

The paper noted that the parliament voted in favor of the agreement on June 14.
