Palestinian movement Hamas has warned Israel against continuing efforts to \"judaise\" the Al-Buraq courtyard, saying the violations were considered an aggression against the sacred Al-Aqsa mosque. Settlers have recently planned to suport Israeli plans to build two Jewish centres in the Al Buraq courtyard south of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The movement said on Wednesday that Hamas called on Palestinians \"to be attentive and aware of Israeli schemes and try prevent implementing them by all means\". It also asked the Arab League, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and UNESCO to play a role in stopping the \"racist practices and Jewish violations\". Moreover, Hamas strongly condemned Israeli attacks on the Al-Watan newspaper and Al-Quds educational television channel, saying they flagrantly violated basic human rights. \"These acts will not terrify our media and educational institutions but will increase their insistence on defending the Palestinian issue,\" said Hamas. \"We condemn this cowardly act to announce our solidarity with Al-Watan and Al-Quds educational TV. We ask all local, Arab and international journalists to support them. We also call on the organisations responsible to help protect Palestinian media institutions and journalists,\" Hamas concluded in the statement.
